Investigation under way into fire at old 9 Beaches resort

An investigation is under way into the cause of a fire at the old 9 Beaches resort in Sandys last night.

Four Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service vehicles with nine personnel attended a scene at Daniel’s Head at about 10.10pm on Sunday.

A BFRS spokesman said: “Upon arriving at the scene, officers found one bungalow at the property engulfed in flames. Two men wearing full protective gear, including breathing apparatuses, entered the bungalow and extinguished the fire.

“The fire was extinguished at approximately 10.45pm.

“A fire investigator was called to the scene and the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.”
