Jumpers at the ready

The Bermuda Equestrian Federation will be hosting the local round of the Caribbean Equestrian Association’s Regional Jumping Challenge at the National Equestrian Centre today.

The format for this year’s championship, which starts at 8.30am, will involve adults and children competing over two specific rounds of jumps at three different heights.

The competition is unique, as there is no distinction between age and gender. Males and females, adults and children all have the opportunity to compete against each other.

It also provides local riders with an opportunity to compete against other countries without the expense of travelling overseas.

Other countries competing in the challenge include Antigua & Barbuda, Jamaica, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti.
