What’s on while you’re here

You’ve finally got to Bermuda on a Tall Ship, welcome to our island home.

We don’t want you to get stuck for things to do while you’re here, so above is a calendar of events taking place as we celebrate the arrival of the Tall Ships 2017.

If you’re in St George’s on Friday, May 26 then a pub crawl is not a bad way to explore the olde towne. Start at Tobacco Bay for a drink and a dip as the sun goes down before heading into the centre where Wahoo’s, The White Horse, and The Wharf will all have drink specials, food and live entertainment. The fun does not stop there with other establishments, including the East End Mini Yacht Club and St George’s Dinghy and Sports Club also open.

On Saturday there will be a variety of entertainment options in St George’s, with vendors and artists on Water Street, and pop-up galleries on York Street. Sunday is when the traditional blessing of the boats takes place, a ceremony that dates back to 1849, and in the afternoon get a true taste of Bermuda with a cricket match at Wellington Oval.

The festivities continue for the rest of the week before the fleet sets sail for Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda.
