Prayer gatherings this week aim to unite community

A pair of public prayer gatherings will be held on Thursday as the island recognises the 2026 National Day of Prayer.

Organisers have said that first will take place between 1pm and 2pm outside Sessions House.

That will be followed by corporate prayer at the Heritage Worship Centre between 7pm and 9pm, bringing together churches and community members for collective worship.

A spokeswoman added: “All are welcome to attend this non-denominational, nationwide call to prayer.”
