Registration is open to individuals aged 50 and up for the Move More Bermuda Games 2026 which will take place next month at the Flora Duffy Stadium.

The Ministry of Health said the event — which will run from 6pm to 8pm on June 19 — promises an exciting evening of friendly competition, movement and community spirit.

Participants can compete in track and field events, including a 50-metres and a 100-metres dash, long jump, shot put, a four-person relay and a 5-kilometre road race.

The event is free for spectators and will feature food vendors, live entertainment with DJ iBreeze, fun castles, health and wellness displays and giveaways.

It is presented by the Department of Health in partnership with the Bermuda National Athletics Association and other government and private sector organisations.

To help participants prepare, free training sessions will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm at the Flora Duffy Stadium from today.

Kim Wilson, the Minister of Health, said: “This event is part of the Department of Health’s Move More Bermuda initiative, which encourages all of us to build more physical activity into our daily lives.

“I urge those aged 50 and above to take part in these Games. Any amount of movement contributes to better health, confidence and overall wellbeing.”

The deadline for registration, which costs $10, is June 17 and the first 100 registrants will receive a free swag bag.
