One of the most important festivals in the Islamic calendar brought out the Muslim community of Bermuda yesterday morning.
The Eid al-Adha Festival, the Festival of Sacrifice, is celebrated on the tenth day of Dhul Hijjah, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic calendar.
It commemorates the willingness of the Prophet Abraham to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah's command, and follows the end of the annual haj pilgrimage.
