Bermuda women’s squad named for match against Grenada
The Bermuda senior women’s national team squad has been announced for the game against Grenada this week.
Bermuda sit third in Group C of the Concacaf Women’s Championship qualifiers, with three points from three games after beating Cayman Islands and losing to Costa Rica and Guadeloupe.
The Lady Gombey Warriors close out their campaign at Flora Duffy Stadium on Saturday at 7pm against Grenada, who are one place behind Bermuda but have yet to score a point after losing 6-0 to Guadeloupe and 2-1 to Costa Rica. They play Cayman tonight.
Bermuda head coach Naquita Robinson is hopeful of ending the competition on a winning note in front of passionate home support this weekend.
“I’m looking forward to having the girls back on the field,” Robinson said.
“They are all ready to go in this final match. As we close this window, we will be looking to end on a high note with a victory.”
