Chikosi Basden signs for Haringey Borough
Footballer Chikosi Basden has signed for a club in England after taking a year away from the sport.
Basden has signed for Haringey Borough, who play in the Southern League Division One Central, the eighth tier of English football.
“I’m delighted to sign for the club,” Basden said.
“I’ve already felt the togetherness since being here and I’m looking forward to this team delivering what the fans deserve.
“I’d say I’ve had a decent preseason, gaining back momentum after taking a step away from football for a season but I’m feeling good and excited to show the fans what I can do.
“I’m a player who wants to win and that’s what we can all achieve here. Up the Boro.”
A Haringey Borough spokesman said the club is delighted to have signed Basden, a right-sided player.
“Kosi joins us after a year out of the game and is raring to get back to football,” he said.
“A Bermudian International, his experience and character will quickly endear him to the Coles Park faithful.”
Haringey start their season on Saturday at home to Sporting Bengal United.
