Registration is now open for the second annual Athene Youth Kickstart Cup.

The pre-season seven-a-side tournament is open to boys’ and girls’ teams in the under-7, under-9 and under-11 divisions and will take place at the National Sports Centre, North Field from October 9 to 11.

Natasha Scotland Courcy, chief executive officer and general counsel of Athene Life Re, is looking forward to another exciting event.

“More than 1,000 young athletes took part in the inaugural Athene Youth Kickstart Cup in 2025 and we look forward to welcoming teams back for another exciting weekend of youth football,” she said in a press release.

The tournament will include a gombey performance, parade of teams, giveaways for the players, food vendors and a children’s activity area for families to attend the event.

Registration is free and closes on September 16.
