Young Bermudian Nijae Aberdeen has signed a one-year deal with Malaga Juniors in Spain.

Aberdeen, a promising full back who has represented Bermuda at youth level, will be at the club for the 2026-27 season. His new side features in the fifth tier of Spanish football.

“Nijae attended our 2025 Summer Showcase event and impressed from the moment he arrived here in Spain,” said a post on the Spanish Soccer Trials Instagram page.

“He consequently earned himself this opportunity within a professional club structure.

“He now finds himself inside an incredibly exciting and forward thinking club, that has gone from strength to strength in recent years with the first team now competing at the Tercera RFEF level.

“This will be a big year for Nijae during his first full season in senior football and we are excited to see him perform within the Spanish League system.”

Aberdeen played for Young Men’s Social Club as a junior and has appeared for FC Bascome’s under-23 team. He also spent time at the Steven Gerrard Academy in England.
