Belco awards $202,000 in scholarships to 20 students
Belco has awarded more than $202,000 in scholarship funding to help 20 students to pursue further education.
The Belco Educational Awards programme, which was launched in the early 1980s, support students pursuing an undergraduate degree in a Stem field, recognising each scholar's desire to further their knowledge and providing an opportunity for their insight and experience to be shared within the company and the wider community.
Awards range in value from $5,000 to $10,000 for a first degree at an accredited institution.
This year's recipients are pursuing degrees across engineering, physics, mathematics and computer science, at institutions spanning Bermuda's traditional academic partners in the UK, Canada and the US.
