The Bermuda Piano Festival is set to return to the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art next month with three free concerts.

The ninth annual festival, scheduled to take place between June 16 and 20, will include performances by renowned pianists Eteri Andjaparidze, Santiago Lomelín, Nicolas Salloum and Alex Tuchman, the event’s artistic director and founder.

A spokesman said: “Along with solo and four-hands piano works, the festival will present chamber works for viola and piano, as well as art songs for mezzo soprano and piano — two facets of the repertoire the festival has not presented before.

“The line-up includes violist Leah Ferguson, of the New York Philharmonic, and mezzo soprano Raphaella Medina, who has performed widely across the United States.

“With the participation of Ms Ferguson and Ms Medina, this year’s free private lessons will be open to students of viola, violin and voice in addition to piano students.”

The concerts are scheduled to take place on June 16, 18 and 20, with all performances starting at 7.30pm.
