The third instalment of the Bermuda School of Music’s Chamber Music Festival returns this week with French Connection. Advertised as an evening of elegance and colour that showcase French lyricism, this programme highlights the brilliance of French composition.

20th Annual Famous for 15 Minutes Playwriting

The Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society presents a playwriting festival celebrating local writers, beginning on Thursday and running through to Saturday. The 20th Annual Famous for 15 Minutes Playwriting Festival allows local talent to present a series of original short plays, performed and supported by Bermuda’s artistic community. Ticket holders receive a 10 per cent discount at La Trattoria Restaurant. The offer is valid only on the day of the performance you attend.

All Grads Rhythm and Fashion Show

A fashion show for students by students has their inaugural show. Graduates from senior schools across Bermuda will take to the runway this week in a fashion production inspired by the events that shaped the year they were born. They open on Friday evening but will have performances on the following Saturday and Sunday afternoons. A first-of-its-kind event, they invite the public to come out to support Bermuda’s students as they reflect on their past and walk towards their futures.

Port Royal Primary School 90th Anniversary

Join Port Royal Primary School for a festive School Family Fun Day from 3pm to 7pm, on the school field, as they celebrate the close of the 90th academic year. Featuring fun castles, bike rides, school tours, games and various food options; this is an opportunity to reminisce and celebrate an historic institution in the community.

Le Retour” Showing

An acclaimed film about a family’s homecoming is being shown by Alliance Française des Bermudas (French Alliance of Bermuda) at BUEI this evening. The drama Le Retour (Homecoming) is a French film with English subtitles about a family’s return to the island of Corsica after 15 years away and confronting the tragic incident that prompted them to leave. All members of the public are welcome to attend and they ask that you book tickets in advance.

Family Fete

Carnival in Bermuda will be presenting a special edition of Harbour Nights with their Family Fete. The highly anticipated carnival season will launch with this event; bringing together music, culture, entertainment, and family-friendly experiences in the heart of Hamilton.
