Stories From the Field: Protecting Seabirds Around the World

Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute invites the public to partake in an evening learning about Bermuda’s cahow and global seabird conservation. In addition to a live presentation from Bermudian ornithologist André Raine, there will be a showing of the film Skellig & Bermuda: A Last Refuge and a Q&A with experts in the field.

Mini Cup Match

The 28th annual Mini Cup Match launches the holiday fun. Brought to you by the Department of Sport and Recreation, families are encouraged to come out and support their youth teams. Additionally, local food vendors will be available.

Dancing Under the Stars

Local and international dancers will take the stage for a night of elegance under the stars. Dancing Under the Stars presented by Rosewood invites the public to enjoy unforgettable performances from acclaimed dancers and celebrate the artistry of dance. From a formal gala fundraiser on Friday evening and children’s matinee on Saturday, this event is open to all ages.

Emancipation “Cup Match” Walkabout

Friends of Sandys welcome members of the public to share in a free Emancipation “Cup Match” Walkabout in Somerset. Participants will see sites that tell stories of yesteryear, times of pre-emancipation and the history of the creation of Cup Match. Attendees are asked to bring sufficient water for self-refreshment along the walking route. The walk should take about 90 minutes at a very slow pace. It will begin at 8am at Springfield, Somerset, a Bermuda National Trust property

Wayne Wonder Live

Cup Match

The highly anticipated 124th annual Cup Match is finally here and begins on Thursday. The island’s celebration of the emancipation of slavery on the island is a two-day cricket match that highlights the best of Bermuda’s culture, history and community. Taking place in Somerset this year, people can look to a weekend of fun, cricket, entertainment and culture.

Wet Fete
