Finance ministry offices reopen

Back in business: the Ministry of Finance offices are now open to the public (File photograph)

The Ministry of Finance offices have reopened to the public after being closed for more than a week.

A total of 21 of the ministry’s staff were ordered to work from home earlier this month and the offices on Parliament Street, Hamilton remained empty.

The Government refused to comment on the reason for the shutdown, despite repeated requests for information from The Royal Gazette.

But a spokeswoman for the ministry confirmed that staff had returned to the office yesterday.
