Power restored in Bailey’s Bay

A power outage hit eastern Hamilton Parish this afternoon (Picture from Belco site)

Several hundred homes lost power this afternoon in the area of Fractious Street in Hamilton Parish.

Belco’s outage site reported 821 customers in the dark as of 3pm.

A Belco spokesman confirmed there was “an incident this afternoon involving a construction truck that caused a fault in the Fractious Street area at 3.51pm that affected approximately 800 customers”.

He added: “Crews were immediately dispatched to carry out repairs with all customers having power restored by 4.22pm.”
