Buses will start at 10.30am on Friday, Bermuda Day and will run on a holiday schedule, the Department of Public Transportation said today.

In addition, due to the Half Marathon races, there will be some detours from 10.30am until barricades are removed by the Bermuda Police Service. Details are in the attached document under related media.

The City of Hamilton has also issued details of changes in garbage collection:

•Thursday, May 27 – the last collection will take place at 5pm.

•Monday, May 31 – normal garbage collection will resume.

A spokeswoman said: “All garbage should be placed on the sidewalks or designated garbage areas by the time indicated in the Refuse Collection Schedule.

“Please do not place garbage out for collection unless a collection is scheduled for that day.”
