Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Crow Lane crash

A motorcyclist is being treated for serious injuries after he hit a pole trying to negotiate a bend, police said this morning.

First responders were called to the roundabout at Crow Lane at 11.30pm on Sunday.

A police spokeswoman said: “Information suggests that a 41-yr-old man was travelling in an easterly direction, when he collided with a pole as he attempted to negotiate a bend.

“The victim was transported to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are described as being very serious.”

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this accident, to call Acting Sgt. Lee-Roma Swan on 247-1454 or 717-0708.
