Traffic on two lanes in Pembroke will be impacted for almost a month by work to clean the Pembroke canal.

The Ministry of Public Works said Addendum Lane and Hurst Crescent with both undergo road closures for the cleaning, scheduled to take place between November 10 and December 3.

A spokesman for the ministry said: “This lane closure is necessary to allow for heavy machinery to access the canal.

“Traffic controls will be under the direction of A-Tec Construction Service Ltd representatives and will be managed via traffic control stop-and-go boards.

“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full co-operation of the public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”

Work in the area is expected to be carried out between 7.30am and 6.30pm.
