Airport crash exercise to be held at Clearwater Beach

The public has been asked to steer clear of an East End beach on Thursday morning because of an airport emergency exercise in the area.

Skyport, the airport operators, said staff would simulate an aircraft accident off Clearwater Beach in St George’s to test its crisis response plans.

The exercise will also test Skyport’s ability to co-ordinate emergency operations with Government and non-Government agencies.

The exercise will be held between 8am and 11.30am.

Emergency vehicles will be in on-site to add realism to the exercise.
