A 15-year-old girl who went missing has returned “safe and well”, police announced.

The Bermuda Police Service had been trying to locate Saphire Wainwright who was last seen around 11.15am on Saturday in the Middle Road, Smith’s area.

A spokesperson said last night that the girl “returned safe and well earlier this evening. The Bermuda Police Service appreciates the public’s assistance in locating her”.

The BPS had asked the public to help find the missing teenager.

While missing, the girl had been spoken once to on the phone, but did not disclose her whereabouts.
