A senior man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital this afternoon after a crash in Pembroke.

A police spokeswoman said officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision involving a car on Curving Avenue at about 1.30pm.

She said: “Initial information suggests a 69-year-old man was exiting Rambling Lane, when he collided with a wall on Curving Avenue.

“The exact nature of his injuries is unknown and he was conveyed to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. A female passenger was not reported to be injured.”

The spokeswoman said that as of 3.40pm police were still processing the scene and diverting traffic away from the area.
