Kids show their inner iron at Clearwater
Almost 90 children and teenagers swam, rode and ran as the Clarien Bank Iron Kids returned with a bang on Saturday.
The annual event attracted 58 competitors in the 7 to 10-year-old race and 29 for the 11 to 15-year-old race at Clearwater Beach, cheered on by family and friends.
Liam Horrobin was first over the line in the non-racing bike 7-10 group, while Caleb Mello was the winner of the racing bike group in the same age group. Meanwhile, Jackson Langley triumphed in the racing bike 11-15 group and Philando Hill III won the same age group in the non-racing bike group.
The girls’ winners were Naomi McGuinness (7-10 non-racing bike), Poppy Perry (7-10 racing bike), Tatiana Sousa (11-15 non-racing bike) and Fenella Wightman (11-15 racing bike).
