The Government is looking for parties interested in a contract to provide fuel and upgrade the Government’s fuel infrastructure according to a recent request for proposal.

The RFP, published online this week, said: “The Government of Bermuda would like to enter into an agreement with suitably qualified bulk fuel suppliers to provide diesel and gasoline for its fleet of vehicles.

“The agreement will extend over the next 10 or 15 years, depending on the agreed term of the contract, and it will include improvements to the Government's fuel storage and dispensing facilities located around the island.”

According to the notice, prospective applicants will be required to take part in a mandatory site meeting on October 7.

Attendees will start at the Government Quarry before moving on to the Department of Marine and Ports on Crow Lane, the Hamilton Fire Station, the Department of Public Works at Marsh Folly, Bermuda Police Service headquarters at Prospect, the bus depot at Palmetto Road, the Port Royal Fire Station and Westgate.

The submission deadline is 3pm on October 26.
