Reinsurance firm Ariel Re has donated almost $100,000 to charity in Bermuda and London during the past year.

The good causes helped included partnering with Fiona Dill to provide Christmas vouchers for Bermudian families in need; matching employee donations to the Lila Saunders Educational Fund; and sponsoring Pride Bermuda and Beyond Rugby Bermuda.

The firm also supported two families at the Transformational Living Centre and provided a Thanksgiving Day lunch for 21 people; backed a Bermuda Beautiful beach clean-up; donated supplies to eight schools on the island and provided toys and vouchers for the Coalition for the Protection of Children.

Veronica King, chairwoman of the Ariel Re charity committee, said: “I’d like to thank our staff who have so generously given their time and money to support such a wide range of good causes in Bermuda and in London.

“Ariel Re is committed to giving back to the communities in which we are so fortunate to work.

“I am very proud that in 2022 we were able to make a record contribution to charities, and we look forward to renewing our support for more good causes in 2023.”
