Governor invites guests to King’s birthday reception

A reception will be held to mark the 75th birthday of King Charles III (File photograph)

The Governor is to host a reception celebrating the 75th birthday of King Charles III.

Rena Lalgie extended an invitation to members of the public who may wish to attend the event at Government House on Thursday, June 22 from 6pm to 8pm.

The Governor said: “Last year we had a tremendous response from members of the public in attending the Queen’s Birthday Reception in her Jubilee Year.

“This year we celebrate not only the first King’s Birthday Reception but also the Coronation of His Majesty, which will take place on May 6.

“While numbers can’t be unlimited, my family and I look forward to welcoming as many as we can to this year’s King’s Birthday Reception.”

Anyone who would like to attend must complete a form, which will be available at
