Summer Sunday City Funday scheduled for July 16

Victoria Park will soon be full of music, fun and games as the City of Hamilton’s annual Summer Sunday City Funday returns.

The event on July 16 will include a range of live performances, contests and more.

Melissa Looby, events and marketing co-ordinator for the City of Hamilton, said: “Summer Sunday is our biggest family event of the year, so we hope that people take advantage of this amazing afternoon in Victoria Park.

“We’ll have live entertainment, multiple food and snack vendors, carnival games, giveaways and so much more.

“It’s a great way to spend a Sunday and engage the kids.”

The event will be hosted by Ed Christopher, the Town Crier, and “Powergirl” Patrina O'Connor, with live entertainment provided by H&H Gombeys, Working Title, Silver City Band, DJ Mystro and the Bermuda Squad Dancers.

The free event will also boast a variety of children’s activities with fun castles, a pie-eating contest, face-painting, giant lawn games and an array of carnival games, including a celebrity dunk tank with prizes up for grabs.

Activities are scheduled to begin at 1pm and continue until 6pm.
