Belco warning of traffic disruption for scheduled outage

Belco is warning that a scheduled outage today could cause traffic disruption.

A spokesman said: “Please be advised that Belco has scheduled an outage that will be take place Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 9am to 5pm which will cause traffic disruptions.

“The outage is scheduled in the Pembroke in the area of Rosemont Avenue, Pitts Bay Road and Between the Walls.

“Traffic controls will be in place as the road will be blocked at the Pitts Bay Road side at the junction of Richmond and Rosemont.”

He added: “A section of Pitts Bay Road will only have access for bikes and pedestrians to pass as trucks will be positioned in the road.

“Belco staff will be directing traffic to allow access for residents only. As soon as work is complete the road will reopen, but Belco trucks will be unable to move - unless it’s an emergency.”
