BUEI holds raffle to help fund educational programmes

A raffle fundraiser is being held to help fund the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute’s educational programmes and Discovery Centre.

Karla Lacey, the chief executive, said: “For every raffle ticket sold, we at the BUEI are in a better position to continue to educate all who visit our museum and take part in our educational programming about the importance of our oceans and maintaining a healthy environment.

“As our climate and oceans continue to change and heat up, our work becomes even more paramount.”

Prizes offered include a Yamaha Mio M3 125cc motorcycle, a two-night stay in a deluxe room at the Hamilton Princess with breakfast, one month of classes and a personal training session at Fit4Life gym, and a $250 gift certificate to Harry’s Restaurant.

The fundraiser will run until November 1 and 650 tickets, which cost $20 each, are available.
