The team at LF Wade International Airport has several events planned to get people into the Christmas spirit in the coming weeks.

A statement from Skyport, which operates the airport, said that the festivities will kick off inside the terminal’s arrivals hall tomorrow.

The event will feature holiday treats, live entertainment and the lighting of the terminal’s Christmas tree.

The event, which is limited to the media, airport staff and invited guests, will introduce the Great Bermuda Carol-Off contest, as well as the airport’s holiday market. Both will run on December 11, 13 and 14.

Students from 17 schools will showcase their talents during the Carol-Off, and Skyport will donate thousands of dollars of prizes to the winning schools’ music programmes.

Unique local gifts, sweets and gourmet treats will be available for purchase, and the Whistling Frog rum bar and grill will offer seasonal specials.
