Wall damaged in Harbour Road crash

A crash on Harbour Road this morning left rubble thrown across the thoroughfare.

The accident, in which a truck towing a trailer hit a roadside wall, happened at about 9.30am near the junction with Highwood Lane in Paget.

According to police, the truck was travelling west when the trailer struck the perimeter wall of a private home, causing debris to be strewn across the roadway.

There were no reports of any injuries.

A police spokesman said the flow of traffic was disrupted for about 90 minutes while the debris got cleared away and the vehicle removed.
