Motorcyclist injured in Devonshire collision

A man was injured today following a two-vehicle crash in Devonshire.

The Bermuda Police Service said that at about 10.45am Thursday, first responders were sent to the scene of the incident on Middle Road, Devonshire near the junction with Watlington Lane.

A government car and a motorcycle were said to be involved.

The BPS said: “Information suggests that the car was stopped in a line of traffic in the eastbound lane, when a male motorcyclist heading in the same direction struck the rear of the government vehicle.

“The driver was not reported to be injured. However, the motorcyclist is believed to have suffered potentially serious injuries.”

Traffic was diverted at Parsons Lane and Watlington Lane, while the scene was processed.

The BPS said at about 1.15pm that the diversions were no longer in effect. Anyone who may have seen the collision was asked to call police on 211.
