Residents have been reminded that household waste will not be collected on the Remembrance Day holiday this Monday.

The Ministry of Public Works advised that a rollover schedule will be in effect for the trash pick-up throughout the week.

Monday’s waste will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday’s on Wednesday, and continue through to next Friday’s waste being collected on Saturday.

Recycling collection days will remain unchanged.

West End collection remains scheduled for next Thursday, and East End collection for next Friday.

Household waste and recycling can also be delivered to the Tynes Bay public drop-off, which will be open on the Monday holiday from 9am until noon.

The City of Hamilton also released its trash collection schedule over the Remembrance Day weekend.

Today will be the last day of collection for residents, while bars and restaurants will see garbage collection as normal today and on Saturday and Sunday.

Remembrance Day on Monday will see waste collection for bars and restaurants only.

Normal trash collection will resume the following Tuesday.

All trash should be placed on the sidewalks or designated garbage areas by the time indicated on the refuse collection schedule.

Do not place garbage out unless scheduled for collection that day.
