Spotlight to shine on seahorses at BUEI event for children

Children will learn more about seahorses at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute tomorrow.

The ocean creatures are the focus of BUEI’s Kids Hour Saturday this month.

The events at 11am and 2pm will feature a reading of Mister Seahorse, written and illustrated by award-winning Eric Carle, and a screening of short film Seahorse — Facts for Kids.

Kid’s Hour Saturdays, held on the third Saturday of every month, include access to the institute’s Oceans Discovery Centre.

Admission is $5 per child for non-BUEI members and free accompanying adults and members.

A statement said: “Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Allshores, Kids Hour continues as a beloved nine-part monthly series running from January through September, with each session showcasing a unique and fascinating marine theme.”
