Members of the public can learn more about Bermuda’s history and win prizes through a new challenge.

Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda has organised the eight-week programme, Keys to the past: Discover Bermuda one clue at a time, starting today.

A statement from the charity said: “Running over eight weeks through the end of June, the initiative combines storytelling, education and adventure.

“Each week, participants will be given a clue, broadcast daily on The Daily Hour, leading them to a hidden key at a historically significant location somewhere across the island.”

The keys will unlock a powerful story at each spot. Participants who find them should contact Curb with a photo of the key at its location and will be invited onto a site-specific social media campaign.

Clues will be read daily until each key is located. The challenges could carry over into the following week if keys are undiscovered.

Curb said each location represented “a moment of courage, resilience, achievement or change”.

The statement added: “The eight featured locations highlight significant moments and individuals in Bermuda’s history, offering participants a unique opportunity to engage with the island’s cultural and historical landscape in a dynamic and memorable way.”

Participants should tune into The Daily Hour for clues, and are urged to search for the objects respectfully.

Winners will be announced on The Daily Hour and Curb’s social media platforms.
