Bermuda Day float winners announced
The Department of Culture unveiled the winners of the Bermuda Day Parade float competition today.
The first place award for the Natural Heritage Float went to Prospect Preschool which also won the award for the Best Preschool Float.
The Bermuda College won first place in the Art Float category and the award for the Best Historical Float as well as the Premier’s Award for Best Float.
CedarBridge Academy took a raft of awards including second place in the Natural Heritage Float category and the Dr Marjorie Bean Award for Best High School Float as well as The Bermudian Excellence Award and first place in the Upcycled Float for the CedarBridge Academy Cars.
The Department of Sport and Recreation float won Best Tribute Award for its entry in memory of Zaniko Hendrickson, a prominent cultural figure as a member of the H&H Gombeys.
Mr Hendrickson, who passed away in 2025, was remembered as “a young leader whose influence spanned culture, sport and community life, and whose commitment to service was evident in everything he did”.
