Bermuda’s only LGBTQ+ charity is in an “incredible position” this summer after receiving continued support from four main sponsors.

OutBermuda welcomed the return of Bacardi, Carey Olsen, Fortitude Re and RenaissanceRe as rainbow sponsors for Bermuda Pride 2026: Deep Roots.

The organisation said the commitment demonstrated that the companies’ dedication to improving the island’s LGBTQ+ community’s way of life is clear.

It added: “Although Bermuda Pride is just a few events, its impact spreads throughout the year.

“Bermuda Pride helps fund OutBermuda’s year-round initiatives including advocacy work, education and training, mental health support and more.”

Joshua Samuels, the executive director of OutBermuda, added: “Becoming a rainbow sponsor is one thing, but to maintain that level of support across multiple years is another thing entirely. And this year, we’re in the incredible position where not one, not two, but four companies have done so.

“With the recent findings of our first national LGBTQ+ survey, it’s clear that our community needs visible and meaningful support now more than ever.

“Carey Olsen, Fortitude Re, RenaissanceRe and Bacardi are providing exactly that and, hopefully, paving the way for more to follow.”

Bermuda Pride events are taking place over this month and next with the signature event — including a parade and concert — on July 4 at Victoria Park.
