Graduating students who have shown achievement, perseverance, service, creativity, leadership and strong character will be celebrated this week by the Ministry of Youth, Social Development and Seniors.

The Youth Trailblazers Out Front 2026 award winners will be recognised on Wednesday at 7pm on the main stage at Harbour Nights on Front Street.

The initiative began in May and was open to all 2026 graduating students in Bermuda to apply, including final-year middle school, senior high school and students in private or specialised programmes.

Students, schools, sports clubs, community and youth groups, churches and non-profit organisations were invited to nominate students.

Categories included academic achievement, leadership and service, community impact, sports achievement, arts and culture, and Stem and innovation.

Tinée Furbert, the Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, said: “When we take the time to recognise our young people, we do more than applaud their achievements — we fuel their confidence, affirm their potential and inspire others to rise.

“Beyond the accolades, these awards are about the heart of our youth.

“Celebrating our youth is an investment in the future, and a joyful reminder that greatness is already growing among us every single day.”

In addition to awards, and as further recognition of their achievements, the ministry arranged for flag banners with pictures of the students to be installed on Front Street.

The public were invited to join the celebration of the students at Harbour Night.
