Almost 30 students were recognised by the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club for their work in different areas of the resort this summer.

They were individually placed in food and beverage, engineering, sales and marketing, and several other areas this year.

Nicole Smith, a sales and marketing summer intern, was among the group of 29.

She said: “Through my interaction with the other summer students, it’s clear they were incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work here and I can't help but feel the same way.

“Although my time here was short, I was able to meet some amazing individuals who work exceptionally well together and with their guidance, I feel much more equipped to take the next steps in my career.

“It saddens me to say goodbye to everyone so soon but I couldn’t be more thankful to have been a part of the Hamilton Princess family this summer.”

Tim Morrison, the hotel’s general manager, said: “We are grateful for the energy and commitment our summer students bring each year.

“It has been a pleasure to watch them grow, develop new skills and make a positive impact during their time with us.

“We wish them every success as they continue their educational journeys.”

Mr Morrison also thanked the Department of Workforce Development for “helping create meaningful employment and learning opportunities for Bermuda's young people”.
