‘Several’ ferries experiencing mechanical issues

Ferry issues: the fast ferry Resolute is often used on the Green Route (File photograph)

Several ferries are currently experiencing mechanical issues, the Department of Marine and Ports has advised.

The Green Route service to Cavello Bay has been suspended until further notice.

The popular commuter ferry will stop only at Rockaway and Watford Bridge.

Passengers may also experience minor delays on both the Green and Blue — Hamilton to Dockyard — routes.

Meanwhile, the Orange, for Dockyard to St George’s, and Pink, for Warwick, Paget and Hamilton, services continue to operate as scheduled.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact the ferry terminal on 295-4506 for the latest service updates.

A department spokeswoman said: “Marine and Ports apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their patience and understanding.”
