Tough day at Riddell’s Bay

Despite the relatively tranquil conditions, no player was able to break par in the opening round of the Bermuda Senior Amateur Championships at Riddell's Bay Golf and Country Club yesterday.

Arthur Jones and Hav Trott fared better than the rest of the field, both shooting even-par 70s, while Jeffrey Lindo, the defending champion, struggled with a 78.

In the women's championship, Kathy Lloyd-Hines, a five-times champion, posted a 79, while Tracy Nash is four shots back in second position with 83.
