Golfer Sienna Mosquera finishes third in Florida

Sienna Mosquera, right, shows off her prize for finishing third

Sienna Mosquera has continued her improvement by placing third in the Hurricane Junior Tournament in Florida.

The Port Royal Golf Course member played in favourable conditions in Fernandina Beach Golf Course, where weather conditions were favourable and Mosquera capitalised to tie the low score in the final round, which catapulted her to third, three shots shy the winner.

The teenager has had a busy time of late using her spring break to compete alongside visiting UK golfers, including Martyn Thompson, the Southwest England Girls Golf Coach. and Huddersfield Golf Club professional Alex Keighley, who were on island for the Bermuda/UK/Ireland Golf Fam Trip.

Mosquera also recently stepped outside her comfort zone by competing in the Moongate Tournament at Port Royal off the championship tees against the top male players.

Mosquera is next in action on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at Champions Gate CC Junior Open, in Florida, on May 4.
