Bermuda women’s golfers lead way in Curaçao

Bermuda have made a bright start in Curaçao

Bermuda’s team of female golfers have surged to the top of the leaderboard in both the gross and net divisions of the 46th Kitty Michael Invitational in Curaçao.

Competing at the stunning yet demanding Old Quarry Golf Course in Nieuwpoort, Bermuda delivered an impressive opening-day performance under the leadership of captain Tracy Burgess and vice-captain Maria Harris.

Individually, Burgess leads the gross division after shooting an opening round of 80, while Harris tops the net division.

The team’s combined gross score was powered by Burgess, Harris (87) and Ann Symonds (88), with those scores contributing to Bermuda’s net total.

The rest of the squad comprises Valerie Nearon, Tracy Nash, Katyna Rabain, Lesley Wollman, Katrin Burnie and Jomari Vosloo.

Round two begins on Wednesday with a shotgun start at 9am Bermuda time.
