The stakes will again be high in this year’s Gosling’s Bermuda Open at Port Royal Golf Course.

As well as $10,000 in prize money, the winner of the 54-hole event will earn exemption to this year’s PGA Tour-sanctioned Butterfield Bermuda Championship, which is held at the same venue.

“The Bermuda Open has always been a marquee event for the island and we are grateful to our sponsors and stakeholders that we are able to retain the Champion Golfer earning a start in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship as it raises the profile of the event and the island,” Craig Brown, the Bermuda Golf Association president, said.

“With Gosling’s behind the event, the support of Bermuda Tourism Authority, the Butterfield Championship team and the team at Port Royal, we look forward to three days of championship golf that Bermuda can be proud of.”

Englishman Henry Smart won last year’s Gosling’s Bermuda Open by two shots to secure his spot in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, where he failed to make the cut.

The Gosling’s Bermuda Open is open to professional and amateurs and will be held at Port Royal from September 10 to 12.

An exciting addition this year is the introduction of the Junior Bermuda Open, which will also be held at the Southampton golf course on September 12.

The 18-hole event offers the island’s junior athletes and guests an opportunity to experience meaningful competition on a world-class course in tough tournament conditions.

Registration is now open here with players being encouraged to register early as strong demand is anticipated.

Full event details, including the professional purse of $50,000, formats, tee times and entry information are available
