Health Dept to host ‘Celebrating Wellness’ at Victoria Park

Free health screenings will be on offer tomorrow evening, along with line-dancing and tai chi, as the Department of Health promotes healthier living for Bermuda.

‘Celebrating Wellness’ is open to the public from 5pm to 8pm at Victoria Park, with information booths, activities and entertainment aimed at encouraging simple lifestyle changes.

Businesses with health-related products will show off the latest exercise clothing and equipment, through the Department’s link with the Chamber of Commerce.

Blood sugar, blood pressure and body type tests will also be available.

The event is part of the ongoing ‘Move More Bermuda’ campaign, in conjunction with the September 8 World Physiotherapy Day, and Caribbean Wellness Day on September 10.
