BHB clarification

A story in the November 13 edition of The Royal Gazette stated that this newspaper understood that the chief financial officer and the chief executive officer of the Bermuda Hospitals Board made a decision to set aside $4 million to pay compensation to a former patient.

The article referred to the present CEO, Venetta Symonds, but, in fact, David Hill was in that position when the decision was made in early 2011. We apologise for the error. As stated in the story, the BHB has never admitted liability in the case.
