Lamb Foggo centre to be closed this weekend
Updated: Sep 17, 2016 02:40 AM
The Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre in St David's will be closed this weekend, the Bermuda Hospitals Board announced last night.
The temporary closure has been caused because the centre was unable to cover an “unplanned absence of the emergency physician” scheduled to work.
Dr Edward Schultz, Chief of Emergency and Hyperbaric Medicine said: “BHB is sorry that we are unable to find an Emergency physician to cover an unplanned absence by the scheduled physician at the UCC.
“We will open again on Monday at the usual time 4pm. Over the weekend, we ask that people with emergency medical needs go directly to the Emergency Department at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, which remains fully staffed and operational.”
