Tourists are to get access to kidney dialysis in a private clinic.

The treatment, once only available at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, is available at Bermuda Life Centre on Front Street.

Lynette Thomas, a certified nephrologist who directed King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s dialysis unit for five years, said the extra service for visitors would improve the island’s marketability to tourists.

Dr Thomas said dialysis would be available at “a state-of-the-art, private dialysis unit with personalised care”.
