Easy-to-use Covid-19 checklist released
Emergency doctors have pulled together a easy-to-read self-assessment guide to Covid-19.
Chikezie Dean Okereke, the BHB's chief of emergency and hyperbaric services, said: “We developed the Covid-19 self-assessment as tool to better manage the needs of our community.
“Providing the public with a guide that eliminates the guesswork on what to do and when to take action, can be instrumental in saving lives and keeping the public informed.”
The guide and checklist assigns a score from 1 to 3 to each Covid-19 symptom.
Mild symptoms have low scores while severe symptoms carry a score of 3.
People can add up their total score to find out if they needed to call their GP.
The guide was drawn up with help from the Ministry of Health, Cheryl Peek-Ball, the Chief Medical Officer, and the island's primary care specialists.
