Covid-19: no new cases today

No coronavirus cases were recorded today after 1,463 test results came back clear to health officials.

The number of active infections remained at seven, with all being monitored by public health officials and none in hospital.

Bermuda’s World Health Organisation country status remained at “community transmission”.

The island has had 2,497 coronavirus infections since the pandemic hit last March.

A total of 2,186 were classified as on-island transmissions.

There are 1,681 with an identified source and 505 with an unknown contact.

The number of infections that came in from overseas stands at 308 and three cases are under investigation.
